The Scouts work by ranks that correspond to you or your Childs school year, the earliest Cub Scouts can officially start in scouting is once they are in Kindergarten, however if you want to find out if scouting is the thing for you or your child then you are more than welcome to come along as what we call a Tag Along.
Lions - Kindergarten (Parents are expected to remain with their Scout)
Tigers - 1st Grade (Parents are expected to remain with their Scout)
Wolves - 2nd Grade
Bears - 3rd Grade
Webelo's - 4th Grade
Arrows Of Light (AOL's) - 5th Grade
Tag Along's can participate with the Den they would be joining (or if they are pre K they will sit in with the Lion Den), they will take part in the meetings fully however they will not earn any ranks, badges or pins until they are registered as a Scout, however this can be a good way to introduce yourself and your scout to the scouting community.
